Below is a blog post written by the Toy Maker Killer. TMK has taken over my blog for the day to post this letter from his manifesto to his “adoring fans.” Read at your own risk.

To all who should be concerned,

First of all, let me introduce myself. I am the one you so foolishly refer to as the “Toy Maker Killer.” I wish to shirk the moniker. It serves no purpose. It is inaccurate at best and blatantly defamatory at worst.

I AM NOT A KILLER.

The world believes that I am, but perception is not reality. I have killed exactly zero people with my own hands. The police merely set off the security systems built into my masterpieces. All great artwork must be protected. THEY killed my successful creations. THEY should not have tampered with my art installations. I breathed life into my art, carefully crafting and sculpting. I would never dare terminate their life forces, that would only destroy my own creations.

I AM NOT A MASOCHIST.

I would not create such beauty only to snuff it out so wastefully. I am a craftsman, not a butcher. A prodigy, not a protege. A creator, not a destroyer. I do not wish for my creations to suffer, but all art comes from suffering.

I AM AN ARTIST.

I have been overlooked and undervalued for too long. I will not remain silent. The world will bear witness to my brilliance. The world will bear witness to my creations. The world will know my work if not my name. I will not be stopped. I have only just begun.
